Marla Desii scultrice-orafa e incisore, lavora e vive a Firenze dove, insieme ad altri artisti, fonda l’associazione culturale Campucc10. Dopo gli studi all’Accademia di Belle Arti amplia e approfondisce le sue competenze tecniche nelle botteghe fiorentine e alla scuola Le Arti Orafe.
Il suo lavoro è un elegante connubio tra contemporaneità e tradizione. Nella sua ricerca Marla guarda all’armonia della forma e del rapporto che il gioiello crea con il corpo, altre volte usa il gioiello come vero e proprio mezzo espressivo in sé.
Marla Desii, sculptress-goldsmith and engraver, works and lives in Florence where, together with other artists, she founded the cultural association Campucc10. After her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti she expanded and deepened her technical skills in the Florentine workshops and at the Le Arti Orafe school.
Her work is an elegant combination of contemporaneity and tradition. In her artistic expression Marla considers both the harmony of the form and the relationship that the jewel creates with the body, other times, she uses the jewel as a true expressive means in itself.
